Within a company the size and scope of LDC it is important to maintain our attention on more than just financial objectives. As the company has grown and prospered, LDC employees have committed thousands of hours of personal time and thousands of dollars of their own money towards becoming one of New Mexico’s most admired companies, not only for the relentless pursuit of efforts to improve lives and strengthen the community in the Pueblo of Laguna, but have been engaged as one of the most generous businesses in the entire state on a local, regional and state level.
Since its inception in 1998 LDC has earned more than $100 million in cash that went directly to the Pueblo of Laguna while at the same time has built a long list of achievements in an exhaustive pursuit of ways to reach out to the Laguna community and the entire state of New Mexico.
Each year LDC and its businesses receive hundreds of donation requests both for cash or goods and services. Though it is not possible to grant every request, the company does grant almost all requests if they specifically benefit children, education or youth sports.
LDC’s efforts are also represented by personal and professional commitments from company executives. The LDC management team serves on many community boards and foundations throughout New Mexico. Some examples include:
